It’s a little difficult to figure out exactly what one is looking at in this ad, but it seems the buyer gets the stripped Duett plus a couple parts cars, some recovered seats and a windshield. What could go wrong?
Duetts are beyond cool, but this is a project for a brave soul.

This is included as a ‘reference photo’, but is the first thing one sees on opening the auction…slightly misleading, but well described in the text.
Ad text:
I was told when I bought this rare 1961 Volvo Duett wagon that only 5 of them had been sold new here in Arizona and this is one of the 5.
It is a US model, not a later import. It does have mph speedo meter, the dual SU carburators and the super rare roll down side window in the back.
I have been collecting older Volvo on and off for over 40 years and I have owned many Duett 445 and 210 wagons from 1953 through 1967 and I have never seen one with the roll down rear windows before.
The body had so little rust that I am inclined to beleve it was sold new here in dry and hot Arizona.
When I bought the car it was yellow/black but the original color is red/beige, problably the best color combo on a Volvo 210 wagon.
We did repair the minor rust, it was mosty in the floor pans and we made new floor pans and installed them properly. The car did not have an engine when I bought it, only a cylinder head with dual carb’s in the back.
I had the body media blasted down to bare metal and then primered but I never got the body painted.
We redid the interior in correct colors and we found a cloth almost exactly matching the original vinyl. It is nicer to sit on cloth than on vinyl.
I bought a rearended 1966 Volvo 554 Sport with the B18 engine and the plan was to use the better B18 engine in the wagon. The seller of the PV Sport told me he had rebuilt the engine and it was his wifes driver when she got rear ended and she would not sit in the car after that.
I have also bought a new, tinted windshield from Finland, they make the best aftermarket auto glass there, hands down.
The only reason for putting this Duett up for sale is that I have found an older Volvo wagon that I would like to buy and I can only do that if I sell this one.
I have over $8500 in this Volvo including the new interior, new windshield and the 1966 PV Sport parts car.
Everything is included in this auction, the 210 wagon, the new interior, glass and the 1966 parts car. The Duett comes with nice and rust free fenders, the hood and bumpers.
I have a clear Arizona title in my name on the wagon and a salvage title on the parts car.
The picture of the painted red/white car is for reference only, that is excactly what my car will look like after it is painted.
Please ask questions before bidding and pleeeeeeese don’t bid unless you are willing and able to pay for the car should you be the winner of the auction.
A $2000 deposit is due within 24 hours of the end of the auction and the balance within 7 days.
We can usually help arrange transport within the US and we have exported cars for the last 27 years so export to most any country in the world is not a problem.
We pack and ship containers to Sweden with cars and parts 2 times a month so shipping to Scandinavian is no problem either

Sweet looking Volvo Duett. It's too bad didn't sell very many here in the USA. I think it would've made a great vehicle to go with the 122S station wagon. I love the two tone Red and White colour combination. Do you have any interior pics of the car?
