We’re big fans of pickup conversions and BMW 318tis, so what’s not to love about this? Add in an M52B28 I6 swap and grabber blue paint and we’re in love!
The seller lists 87K miles and indicates that’s what is on the engine. We’re not sure about the chassis. While this isn’t an M engine, its stock 190HP and 200+ lb-ft should be a nice upgrade vs. the stock I4. A number of other performance and cosmetic mods are part of the deal, too, but the real star of the show here is the body. So far, the seller hasn’t attracted a bid at an opening price of $8K. We wonder what the market will say.

How’s that for a profile? It’s oddly better proportioned than a stock 318ti.
From the front, this is all E36 business, especially with its M bits.
Naturally, the closest thing here would be Subaru Baja, and we imagine the cargo capacity is similar.
Sadly, the tailgate isn’t bottom-hinged, but it at least moves out of the way for loading. Note spare tire location.
The I6 looks like it was made to fit here. Oh, wait, it was.
M seats fit well with the theme and we’re glad this has a manual trans (how could it not??).

The stock 1.9L 4 cylinder is 140 HP, so this is a nice upgrade. I had a 1996 318ti and it was fun, 50 more ponies would make it more so.
$8K is pristine, low mileage Club Sport money, hard seeing this bringing that much.
