All Really Bad Show and No Go

From some angles (not many) and far away, you might think this car had racing history.  Look inside, however, and you’ll see an automatic shifter, which eliminates all performance thoughts.

The seller was trying to achieve a JDM look of some sort, but I don’t know that automatic versions of this car were even sold there.  It seems to me there’s a good car under all the garbage here, but $6,000 is a crazy price, given the time and expense necessary to undo what the seller has done – not to mention the transmission swap.

Yes, it appears those are exhaust pipes.  I’ve seen videos of hideous things like this in Japan.  If it’s overseas, it MUST be cool!

Is the wide body kit necessary on a stockish B210?  I realize nine-inch wide wheels are much wider than stock, but I worry that these may be cheaply spaced out to fill the flares, which appears to add almost eighteen inches of total width all by themselves.

The steering wheel isn’t bad, that there’s that shifter.  Ugh.  I’m a fan of Nissan/Datsun IP layouts from this time period, though the 200SX had the best example.

Interior maintains some level of taste, with Corbeau seats that look like vintage Recaro units.

This car was obviously blue once, and someone did a crap job of painting a bit under the hood.

For sale or trade. $6000 obo Vintage 1976 Datsun B210/ 120Y. First off, this car was built in 1976, parts are not always on the shelf and like all old cars, can be somewhat of a challenge to find parts. That’s the fun part of these builds. Know what your buying and your skill level. Even toy models require a certain skill level that not everyone has. Lets not waste each other time. This is my daily driver and know that it is maintained with all the best parts. Now for the good stuff. Car is automatic and shifts smooth. Motor fresh rebuild with new fuel pump, spark plugs and wires, fresh rebuilt carb, with all working smog and vacuum lines working. Brand new alternator, relays and battery, complete makeover on electrical system. Motor runs strong and doesn’t get hot with freshly tanked radiator, brand new water pump and thermostat. 65 mph all day for a motor built to do 55. Just added a switched electric fan to help ease the stress of higher speeds this cars wasn’t designed for. 80 mph is now possible. Ksport custom coil overs with full adjustment in front, ksport shocks with 2″ drop blocks in rear, along with brand new front end bushing and ball joints. Complete brake service front and rear. This car was all just redone in the. Smogged and regged. Added JDM fender mirrors, Rallye wink mirror, and a 12″ volking steering wheel on a hkb wheel boss. Custom color change painted a few years ago, but looks good with stripe graphics. Body has minor dings and dents, but nothing too bad for an original clean title retro chassis. Has custom wide body, front and rear spoiler, and corbeau reclinable bucket seats. Has original radio but not working and heater core and bumpers have been removed and are not include. Custom non smoggable exhaust. Now sitting on 15×9 Simmons V4 mesh 3pc wheels. Willing to sell it without aftermarket wheels on steel factory wheels for less money or will include aftermarket wheel. More mods to be added. Price goes up accordingly. Got a new project and need the funds to get it going. Great project start for a Datsun/ retro Japanese car enthusiast. Feel free to text or email with questions or offers. Thanks for you looking. jdm vintage retro hayashi stance
