Because the Cord Just Wasn’t Weird Enough the First Time…

…A company called SAMCO produced a replica thirty-some-odd years later.

The seller says this car is partway through a total restoration.  Frankly, I don’t see any evidence of any work, but maybe it’s all mechanical?  Still, if I was the seller and had put in any time or money, I’d be more specific.  Oh well, what you get here could be a nightmare, but could yield you a really funky cruiser with reliable Chrysler big block power.

As a bonus, the sellers house looks like a fun place to visit, but I’d expect no less from the owner of a Cord replica.

Well, yes, this looks kind of like a cord.  Headlamps are no fun, though – way too plain.

Interior has some throwback 1930s flair, but mostly looks custom, which is what it is.  The steering wheel looks horrible out of place and needs to be remounted on the Atari Sprint arcade game from which is was stolen and the B&M automatic shifter needs to be mounted in a Maverick or Nova.

Yeah, there is some sort of rear seat.  Rear window looks like crap and I wonder where one get’s a replacement for this car.

Here’s the Chrysler 440 and some evidence of air conditioning.
