Buy a Failed Attempt at Keeping Five Changan Tiger Star Pickups Running

Someone thought keeping a fleet of Chinese-built Chang’an Tiger Trucks running was a good idea.  It turns out it wasn’t for that owner; but now’s your chance to try!

Here’s what you get, per the seller (who appears to be in the salvage business):

(2) Automatics with bad transmissions (removed and laying in truck bed)
(2) Automatics that Run and drive, but burning oil/smoking
(1) Wrecked with a manual transmission

So, to sum it up, two have automatic transmissions that died, two may have engines that are dying and also feature the fragile automatic and, finally, one was either so reliable or so fun (?!) that it was driven enough to be in a wreck.  Presumably, the one with the manual was the only one that could be driven regularly and thus the only one that could be in a wreck above 0 MPH.

Anyone thinking about driving  these on public roads should look at the wrecked Tiger and this video from IIHS. So, public roads aren’t a good idea.  We’re thinking spec series!!!

Here’s the lineup of your dreams!

This would probably be a better first image, given it lacks the smashed truck.

Ass shot.

The driver may not have walked away from this one.  Our spec series will require full cages, but they might weigh as much as the rest of the truck and they might make the center of gravity “interesting.”
