“VERY RARE” 1977 DODGE ASPEN FACTORY AUTHORIZED “CALIFORNIA CUSTOM”! IN 1976, THE FOLKS AT PLYMOUTH BUILT A ONE-OFF AUTO SHOW CAR CALLED THE “FONZMOBILE”. THE FONZMOBILE WAS BUILT TO CAPITALIZE ON THE POPULARITY OF THE TV SHOW “HAPPY DAYS”. A GROUP OF CALIFORNIA DODGE & PLYMOUTH DEALERS ASKED THE CHRYSLER CORPORATION TO APPROVE THE BUILDING OF THE “CALIFORNIA CUSTOM”. CHRYSLER APPROVED AND A LIMITED NUMBER OF FACTORY AUTHORIZED MODIFIED CALIFORNIA CUSTOMS WERE PRODUCED. THIS VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY POSTED ON EBAY WITH PHOTOS AND MUCH MORE INFORMATION.
