While it’s not a big-block car, we think this car has massive sleeper potential. The 318/3-speed combo likely provides pretty good fun already, but could easily be modified while maintaining the stealth factor. Given this is a sedan, you can also rest assured it will never be particularly collectible, meaning you’re not modifying something that needs to be preserved.
What would you do with this one? I imagine the 318 could stay and be modified and that a four- or five-speed trans would as to drivability. I also wonder what suspension modes might be available to help cornering while maintaining a stock look. Hmm.

Exhaust tip almost gives away too much. Exits just behind the rear axle would allow one to hide larger diameter duals.
This interior is pretty much perfect, green + bench + floor-mounted manual shifter!

Very rare 1970 Plymouth Valiant 4 door, 318 cubic inch, heavy duty 3 speed manual transmission on floor, 8 3/4 rear end with 3:23 gears. This transmission & rear end was standard on all 340 Duster’s and is very unusual to be installed on this model. This car is solid driver with 30 year old repaint in original F8 green. Nice original interior, but, headliner needs attention. Odometer shows 34,000 miles but not sure if miles are correct. Car has new exhaust, new tires, new radiator, new alternator, and has original owners manual and original build sheet. Build sheet verifies unusual rear end & transmission as original. Car rides and drives very nice. NO E-MAILS!! If you want to make an appointment to look at the car or have serious interest or questions call me @ 573-690-1826. No e-mails will be answered, so call if you need something addressed.
