We love old Chevy Blazers, so we briefly shed a tear when we find one has been sacrificed; but it’s a relief when the end result is awesomely odd. In this case, someone decided a 1962 Studebaker Lark two-door post would make a good off-roader. We tend to agree.
We’re not sure when this was built, but the seller claims it’s powered be a new 350 crate engine and it looks like beefy hardware was used. Fitting with the current trend, everything has been coated in something reminiscent of bed liner. Apparently, it’s called Linex. We had to do a double take, as it appeared that the ad referenced Linux…
Anywho, 35K is a lot of money, but this wasn’t a cheap built. It would be interesting to see how badly the seller wants to sell it and what a bottom-end price would be.

Whatever you think, this is genuinely unique. That’s not a pickup – it’s a substantial trunk, as was the style before the Mustang brought about the “long hood, short deck” concept.
We love this era of Studebaker, with the quad lamps and pronounced grille. We’re glad the body is essentially intact.
Rear is less stylized versus the front, and we’re pretty sure the manual trunk latches aren’t original.
Interior has custom seats and gauges, but dash might be mostly original. Is that a CB radio???
Back seat is present and has been covered to match front seats.
Fancy Fox shocks and massive, off-road tires are critical parts of this build.
Crate 350 should get the job done and it fits nicely.
