Here we have a car we love to hate. The Datsun F10 was Nissan’s first US-market, front-wheel-drive product, so it marked the end of an era from an enthusiast standpoint. As we have pointed out before, the hatchback F10 is one of the ugliest cars ever made, and this wagon is only a little bit better – mostly due to toned-down taillights. Despite all that, the F10 is interesting for its oddness.
This car comes with no title (with a “bill of sell”, per the seller), which means it make take some work to get it registered. The seller claims it’s for parts only, but the physical condition makes it look salvageable. What’s lacking in the ad, however, is any info on the mechanical condition. The seller states that the is sold non-op, but that’s a CA legal term more than a description.
The $3K asking price is above the value of a running, registered F10; so it’s absurd here. With no title and the assumption it doesn’t run, this should be a sub-$1K project for someone. Just don’t expect a ton of performance with a 1.4L 4cyl and FWD. Also, this 1976 model year vehicle must pass smog in CA.

This poor thing is pinned into some sort of car graveyard, but the condition doesn’t look bad. This gives a glimpse of the odd headlights. As a two-door wagon, this technically qualifies as a shooting brake (?).
The rear of the F10 wagon is much more conventional than the hatch. Relative to the rest of the automotive landscape, it’s still plenty quirky, however. Is the white on the A-pillar some sort of wind deflector? There’s one on each side…
Note the honeycomb wheel covers – all four seem to be present.
Badges are present, too.
Interior is all there and this is a clutch pedal car. If running condition can be determined and paint will color sand out, this might be a very easily saved car.
Yes, this has a back seat and a decent cargo area. Note minimalist cargo area trim with lots of exposed, painted metal.
Wheel wells intrude only slightly into ample-for-size-of-car cargo area.
