Dodge Mierda

Ooops, it’s technically Mirada.  Either way, these are unusual rear-drive coupes that were only around for a few years in the early 80s.  There was even an attempt to get back into NASCAR racing with these.  Bottom line – this is a Dodge version of the Chrysler Cordoba made famous by Ricardo Montalban for its fine, Cortinthian leather.

This CMX trim level has an interesting, almost menacing look, despite the geriatric fake convertible top, which was apparently a factory option.  Unfortunately, the 318 V8 is only good for 130 horsepower.  The torque story is better at 230 lb-ft, but isn’t going to set the world on fire.  Regardless, it would be an interesting cruiser and capable of a good V8 exhaust note. Front end has just a hint of Cord in it.

No, really, that top doesn’t come down.

No Corinthian leather here – plenty of old school velour, however.
