We’ve always thought the F10 was the ugliest Datsun ever made and that’s why we want one. This wagon is actually slightly less ugly vs. the hatchback, as the tail lights are more boring on this one.
This was Nissan’s first front-wheel-drive car.

1977 Datsun F-10
51,235 original miles
Interior is in very good condition: carpet, dash, door panels, and headliner all very nice. The only bad part is the driver seat has come apart at the seams. I have been using seat covers over it. The passenger side seat is still in great shape. Everything works, no dummy lights are illuminated. All glass is good.
The exterior is solid and straight. In my opinion, it appears to possibly have been repainted with the original color at some point, not recently. No bondo or bodywork. Very minor rust just starting to appear in a couple areas around the bottom underside edges and corners inside the wheel wells. The worst area is behind the mud flap on the passenger rear wheel well (see pics). None of the areas are weak or falling apart, just the very edges of some of the sheet metal where typical rust would begin on a Datsun.
Mechanically it is in great condition. Starts easy, well tuned, very responsive. It drives great. It is very peppy and shifts perfectly. It does have manual brakes so it does not stop as fast as newer cars.
In the last year I have replaced the alternator, fuel pump, and valve cover gaskets.
Flaws: It is missing 1 hubcap, I can’t find one anywhere. If you know where one is please contact me. The parking brake cable is broke and the hood release under the dash is broke but there is still an easy way to open the hood.
I drove this car all last summer and still drive it when the weather is nice. I would not hesitate to take it on a long trip.
