Here we have a Festiva plus a parts car. If the price stays low enough, this should be tempting to anyone looking for dirt-cheap autocross thrills or anyone with a general liking for late 80s/early 90s shitboxes.
Even better, the body on the driver car is coated in plasti-dip. Why worry about stone chips on such a high speed vehicle? If one could get this for $500 to qualify to LeMons, one would be golden. The buy-it-now price, however, may indicate that the reserve is much higher than that.
Athens, TN (Nashville is the Athens of the South, but there is apparently another Athens)
$200 with 3 bids and reserve not met, plus $1,200 BIN price
Update: Ended at $720.89 with 28 bids (!) and reserve not met (!!)

Oops, maybe Plasti-Dip wasn’t made to adhere to automotive paint. This does confirm the seller’s claim that the this Festiva was/is red, like 50% of them.
Plenty more red paint confirmation here. Mouse belts are a HUGE plus – or are they a great reason to put in racing seats with harnesses?
Here’s the parts car…

For sale is a 1994 Ford Festiva. The car’s exterior is red, but it has been plastidipped black. This car gets over 40 MPG and has a new clutch, ready for years of driving. The listing also includes a 1987 or 1988 Blue Festiva as a parts car with ~135,000 miles. The doors from the parts car have been put on the listed car. Both cars run and drive good, but the parts car shouldn’t be driven because the chassis and suspension is badly rusted, but the engine and transmission are in good shape.
Both cars have clean titles.
