Supposedly, this started life as a 1967 E-Type, which means it was a highly desirable Series 1 car. Unfortunately, none of the characteristics that make it a Series I (covered lamps with original-style front and rear lights and spinners on the knock-off hubs) remain unscathed, as this car has been extensively modified. As matter of fact, is seems nothing that made this an E-Type remains.
According to the seller, the Jaguar chassis remains largely intact, but I’d imagine the big block engine has altered the handling more than a bit, although it may sit farther mid-ship. Regardless of all that, if this is your type of thing, you know who you are.
I must admit it would be interesting to drive this Boss-powered beast just once. Also, I learned to drive a manual transmission in a 1968 Series 1.5 E-Type, and I may be a bit of a purist.

Believe it or not, this side view is the ‘most stock’ of all views.
The front is completely unrecognizable and it’s not an improvement.
The rear is actually a pretty clean interpretation of ‘modern E’ and conceals much wider rubber.
The bonnet still opens in the proper manner, but it’s pretty obvious that’s not an inline six under it.
Yes, it’s a Boss 429, supposedly modified to produce 600+ HP.
Those who know E-Types will find the overall shape familiar inside, but with a clear lack of taste used in material selections. I’m also not sure why the tachometer was moved to the passenger side, while the speedo remains in front of the driver. That may be the worst idea of all…

This is a heavily modified 1967 Jaguar XKE. Car was purchased from the dealership in 67, the modifying started in 71 and finally complete in 99. It has custom built rims, custom trim, front end tilts forward and has a (very loud) 1969 Boss 429 Mustang shotgun engine that pumps out 600 horses. Also the eyes on the jaguar emblem light up.
The car has won many awards and trophies. All custom mods on the car are done by the original owner , so this car has only 1 owner, and since the completion in 99 to present
the car has only 1300 miles on it. There are too many mods to list , this car is a show stopper. This is not a kit car. Suspension, transmission, chassis and body are all Jaguar, hood and rear fenders are fiberglass. Like i said, too many mods to list.
