Gold Dust V8-Powered Trike

Here we have an old-school trike running a Ford 302 (4.9L) V8 and C4 three-speed automatic trans.  The seller provides shockingly little info,but does point out that it has a crushed velvet interior. What else do you really need to know?Apparently, this trike, named Gold Dust, was built in 1983 in Tennessee. If that doesn’t sell it, we don’t know what will. We also don’t know whether it was driven or trailered from TN to SD. We imagine that would have been an interesting drive!

This certainly looks like nothing else on the road. Is that Pistol Pete?

It looks like the top goes down; but the seller provided no pics with it in that position.

Rear fenders are impressively curvy and we assume the rear was sourced from a production car of some sort.

Tail lights are typical for a custom build, in that they likely came from a trailer.

It’s unfortunate that this is all we can see of the interior, but we can see some velvet and we can get a feel for the odd controls.
