Good, Honest CVCC

For a long time, any 70s Honda spotted on the road was a beater, with only the occasional exception.  Will the rise in Japanese collector car values keep them coming out of the woodwork, or will this be a rare sight in the future?

The seller claims 85K original miles on this one, which means it’s hardly broken in.  $4,500 for an old Honda would have seemed crazy ten years ago, but doesn’t sound so bad for one in such good shape today.  Some of that is inflation and some is the newfound appreciation for Japanese classics.  Is this a classic?

I was once told that the CVCC (Stratified Charge) engine Honda used was developed at Stanford university in the late 60s early 70s. However the big 3 were interested in fuel economy at the time but Honda sure was… I was too lazy to confirm this on the internet but it sounds like it could be true and makes a great story.
