We’re big fans of the Corvair – especially the less common body types, which means we usually love the Greenbrier van. This one has some unfortunate modifications, but might be salvageable at the right price.
While the end result here looks too far gone at one glance, it looks like the add-ons are, well, just added on; so it’s possible a bit of de-fiberglassing and some paint would return the exterior Greenbrier beauty. The seller (who admits the mods are over the top) notes that the engine was recently rebuilt.
So…will you peel off the mods or keep the 70s van craze-inspired weirdness?

The front of this thing shows an interesting level of DIY fiberglass craftsmanship, what with the grafted-on “snout” covering the round lamps. Hopefully, this peels right off, like shitty drywall over a vintage, brick fireplace.
Rear is mostly unmolested, minus the wing and hot rod-esque blue dots.
Interior has a lot of mods, including the much newer velour-covered seats and console. One could recover to maintain comfort and get a vintage feel, or take this back to stock. It seems pretty functional.
Here’s the beloved air-cooled, rear-mounted, flat six.
Per the seller these are less over-the-top fiberglass bits. Maybe running this van with none would be a good idea…

This time piece has been garaged most of its life. After the owners death it sat garaged for 17 years waiting for a new owner to fully appreciate its beauty and uniqueness. I woke it up, shook off the cob webs, and gave it back life. Boy does it like to drives and it makes you smile. Please call for more information or to test drive this gem!
