This isn’t our first Sprint Turbo and it won’t be our last. Here we have a cheap example at $750, but the owner has partially disassembled things under the hood.
Will you put the poor thing back together? The seller claims all parts are there – bagged and labeled – but we always wonder why cars that are ‘easy to put back together’ are for sale without that easy work complete. Also, the seller references the interior being rough, but includes no pictures.
Is this a good opportunity for stand-alone EFI with better boost control? It seems like the possibilities are endless, but $500 would be the hurdle for keeping it LeMons eligible.

Up or Auction is a very hard to find 1987 Chevy Sprint Turbo. These make perfect race cars for 1000cc class because can run turbo since it is stock. Bought car needing timing belt changed. Pulled head to check cylinders which looked great. Put new head gasket and head bolts on and checked compression on all 3 cylinders. All checked out great! The turbo case had a small crack but had it professionally tig welded and strengthened since turbo is near impossible to find. Also have very hard to find turbo gasket set to go with it as well as both dealership repair manuals($80).The body is straight but rough paint. Interior is there but very rough. Needs a good cleaning and engine put back together. All parts are there and bolts bagged and labeled. Mileage says 9128 but must be 109128. Suppose to get up to 40+ MPG which is great for a commuter car or perfect for Slalom car or rally racing!! Buyer is responsible for picking up or shipping!!
