Is a James Bond car too nice for Oddimotive?

Not this one. This is from a movie most Bond fans have likely tried to forget, from the pimp-mobile in the beginning to the blatant sell-out by including AMC product placement to the inclusion of Tatoo as a bad guy (possibly the original mini-me).

1973 AMC Hornet X Coupe in Matador Red. This is identical to the one used in the James Bond movie “The Man with the Golden Gun”. It has the same factory color, stripes and same interior color/design as the movie car and I carried on the theme by installing a set of Cragar S/S wheels, just like the one in the film. I get complements all the time when people think it’s the actual movie car. These Hornet X’s are getting very rare. I have put a lot of work and $ into the car including a professionally rebuilt 258 6cyl engine w/ 4bbl Holley carb, mild performance cam, later 4.0 head with factory headers. The engine has only 2000 miles since the rebuild. New tires, completely rebuilt front end, new exhaust, new brakes. The car drives excellent and is quick with this engine setup while still returning decent gas mileage. Automatic trans shifts perfect, it has highway gearing, handles great, there are no fluid leaks. The body is very solid and original, never any accidents and mostly original paint, though it is fading and dull/worn in several places. Factory vinyl roof was removed. There is some rust in the lower fenders and doors, but the frame and underside is solid including the floors. The interior is original and showing it’s age with the cloth driver seat torn, but the dash is crack free and everything works (except the A/C, compressor removed). No radio, but speakers and antenna installed, Passed state inspection. Can be driven anywhere and needs nothing to use daily, just some cosmetic work.  No Reserve. You can call me 908-xxx-xxxx  with any questions.
