We’ve never seen one of these, but we already like it. There is little information available on this one. Most Google hits relate to this one being for sale off and on for quite some time. This one needs a good geaneology project… Regardless, we’re sure it would make a great daily driver.

The Ferguson bearcat was manufactured by Ferguson Industries of Sacramento, CA. in the 1960’S for the use by the US Government Geodesic Survey crews. It is designed t go on most any terrain. It is a 4 wheel drive unit with articulated steering where the front and rear parts can go over terrain at different angles. It has an air cooled Kholer engine, 3 speeds and reverse. It has an electronic clutch. Comes with a snow plow blade. It has been restored, but kept the original tires. Not many miles on it once the survey was completed so total miles is based on tire wear less than 3000. Very rare and unusual machine. Will carry up yo 5 people ans climbs moat anything. A wonderful, unsual & collectable functioning vehicle.
This is a very, very unsual vehicle and an item that will draw attention at any car shop or in any collection. I ‘am not sure how many were made, but know of two. Once the survey was complete they were not reordered and sold in the area. This one was found in a barn in northern California and sat for many, many years undisturbed before restoration.. Please feel free to call with any questions you may have regarding this unique vehicle.. Please call (541) xxx-xxxx PST..
