Yes, that’s more or less what it is. Most people alive at any point in the 70s have vague recollections of the AMC Eagle brand – the one that existed before the Chrysler purchase of AMC and the ill-fated Eagle Medallion. The Eagle line was all about four-wheel-drive in passenger cars, with the station wagon body the most popular version. Fewer people remember that Eagle actually had a full lineup, including a Concorde sedan, sporty liftback SX4, practical hatchback Kammback and a rare, aftermarket-modified convertible Sunchaser.
Our subject car is a Kammback, which bears a strong resemblance to the AMC Gremlin. The seller claims 45K original miles and the photos appears to back that up. These shared a 4.2L inline six, which means it’s a torquey little beast. If this is rust-free, it’s not a bad deal for something so unusual.

We like the rays of light in this photo. God wants you to buy this car!
Back is pretty much all Gremlin.
The Eagle interiors were all pretty similar. You can see the third pedal here, as well as the bottom of the shifter boot – good news!
We dig the cloth and it appears to be in really good shape.
