We just don’t see enough first generation (FB) RX-7s on the road anymore. It seems they were quite common when new to lightly used, but disappeared somewhere along the line. This example is the best of the breed: The GSL-SE, which featured the 13B engine that would become standard on the second generation (FC) cars.
Today’s subject car has some mods, but we love the stock wheels and, of course, the awesomely brown paint. The asking price seems high at first blush; but, if it is as advertised, the car could be worthy? It certainly appears to be a nice example of the breed.

Yep…lots of letters on that badge! Rear fogs mimicking the front are an interesting touch.
Delightfully brown interior appears to be in good shape and is mostly unmolested. We’d prefer a bit more grip on the wheel, but that’s easy to change out.
Dyno results would be interesting. Your humble host confesses to knowing little about actual results from Wankel upgrades, but we do like the big-ass Weber.
