For the 1987 model year only, BMW offered a super-luxury version of the E24 6-Series, known as the L6. This was similar to the L7 7-Series offered for a couple years before that.
Notably, these cars had a full leather interior, whereas most had only leather seating surfaces. These have leather door panels and dashboards, much like exclusive, handbuilt luxury cars. Of course, one downside is a required automatic transmission. The M6 and 635CSi models are the obvious driver’s car choices, but there’s something cool about this unusual, one-year beast.
The seller claims recent service and lots of records, but doesn’t bother to state the mileage on the car. As such, it’s hard to say whether $3,950 is a bargain, though it sounds like it.

This beautiful black L6 has the all original grey and white leather interior (including the dash), which is in EXCELLENT condition. You simply won’t find a better example of an L6 interior anywhere. A new timing chain was installed 30k miles ago, and the transmission was rebuilt just 24k miles ago. 17in BBS wheels finish off this wonderful machine. To make her safe for the road she needs; upper and lower control arm bushings, idler arm bushings, fan clutch, and complete front brakes. I received the car from my dad who bought from the original owner. I have ALL service records since 1987. Serious inquiries only please.
