Frighteningly, this isn’t the only one I’ve found like this. The last one that popped on eBay was also in New England – Connecticut, if memory serves. Someone, somewhere in New England once compared wheelbases between a CJ and Datsun roadster and decided they were close enough. The rest is history.
Again…why? But maybe the real question is – or was – why not?

Shouldn’t every roadster have the ‘extra’ shifter for the transfer case?
Yep…inline six. We might have gone for multiple carbs to make it look more like a Datsun.
