No, it’s not quite a Galaxie

The Ford Galaxie was an upgraded Ford 500 back in the day, but one seems to rarely see a plain 500.  That could be because fewer survived or it could be because all the 500s now wear Galaxie badges.

What would make a ‘base’ car interesting?  How about a two-door body style and big block power?  Good news is

I’m not sure what happened to the paint, but the seller claims minimal rust.  One could go rat rod here – the paint has almost become a work of art on its own way.

Given what’s left of the paint, it looks like this is a two-door post body – some were postless hardtops.

Hurst t-handle looks like a manual shifter, but the car has a C6 installed.  Interior is not luxurious, but is now 60s cool.

Two massive Predator carbs should provide rather nice throttle response, as these are advertised as maximizing low-end torque.  It’s been sitting and needs attention and cleanup, but the seller claims the car runs.
