GM has a rather long history of spending big money improving flawed vehicles just in time to kill them. The Fiero is a classic example, as is the entire Pontiac brand circa 2009; but the Allante is one that’s sometimes forgotten. With build and transportation costs that never would have penciled anyway, the Allante was doomed from the start; but its anemic 170HP, 4.1L V8 really ensured failure. There was a mid-cycle upgrade to a 4.5L V8 with 200HP (admittedly with a bigger torque bump), but things didn’t really get interesting until the 1993 model year, when the Northstar engine came out and the Allante was bumped to a whopping 295HP.
This 1993 Allante can be yours for under $5K! The seller claims 137K miles and that it runs and drives well – at least for something pushing quite a lot of torque through the front wheels.

The “32V Northstar” badging tells you all you need to know.
These never were bad looking cars.
Interior is late 80s/early 90s plush. In other words, competitive with a Camry in today’s market.
Analog gauges are a welcome sight, but that’s one hell of a center stack. Damn. At least it doesn’t have the wacky Reatta system.
Old school car phone is almost worth the price of the car…to a guy like me.

Beautiful Cadillac Coupe convertible Allante Pininfarina with 137 K miles
runs and drives great, The Allanté is noted for an unusual production arrangement, where completed bodies designed and manufactured in Italy by Pininfarina were shipped from Italy in specially equipped Boeing 747s, 56 at a time, to Cadillac’s Detroit/Hamtramck Assembly plant where they were mated with domestically manufactured chassis and engine assemblies,
These Cadillac’s are unique from there beautiful interior to the timeless body call me with any questions Thanks

That center stack is nuts. Talk about driver distraction…
