Our Most 70s Post in Quite Some Time

We’re fans of any ad that rightfully includes the “time capsule” quote and proudly calls attention to the presence of a Craig 8-track player and Muntz speakers.  Yes, this is a full 70s custom built on a Datsun pickup in the heart of the Corvette Summer days.

The front end of this truck screams 70s impracticality, as does the paint scheme.

Profile reveals wire wheels and the full extent of the high-roof camper shell, which is absolutely part of the paint scheme.

You’re damn right this has a louvered sun visor!

Yes, the camper shell’s individual height is greater than all of that below it. Note fancy pinstriping!

Interior is exactly what it should be – lots of velour and tufting.  Yes, that’s a mural on the glove box lid!  In other good news, this truck has a manual transmission!

But wait, it gets even better!  The cab has been opened up to the camper shell, which has shag carpet and more tufted velour!  Basically, this has been made into a makeshift van.  The seller even claims that the captains chair swivel, so you can party with the other swinger couple in the back.

Engine compartment looks all stock – not surprising in this type of “all show” vehicle.
