Outgrew your Playmobil toys? How about a Fuldmobil from Elektromaschinenbau Fulda?

Behold the car that might or might not have created the bubble car concept! This is, as you might guess, a 1950s German contraption, launched in the hard times after WWII.

The seller guesses this is from the 1955 to 1957 range, which puts it in the middle to end of production, as the Fuldmobils were essentially all built in the 1950s. What do you get for your hard-earned cash? How about a 200cc, single-cylinder (thanks, reader for catching our typo!) engine, three wheels and an aluminum body? Of course, this example needs some serious work, but it appears to be almost all there.

What’s not to love here? Beautiful perfect quirkiness is right up our alley!
This is a face we could love.
Rear is fantastically curvy and weird.
The interior is about what you’d expect. It looks complete and tired. Needless to say, we love the plaid.
The cobwebs lend an artistic touch to some images.
It’s not clear when this last ran. The seller’s complete lack of info should have one assume it doesn’t today.
Here’s a badge you won’t see at every Cars and Coffee event.

This is an exceedingly rare microcar. Only a few were built. Wikipedia has a good page on Fuldamobil. I think this one was built in 1955-57. Aluminium body, steel undercarriage. In totally original condition. Missing two indicators and one side mirror. Body is in ok condition with no major dents or bulks. Need total overhaul, sells as is. Is located outside of Oslo, Norway, so you will need to arrange pick up. I an help with finding transporters if necessary.
