The E24 M6 was essentially the first BMW M car, at least in name and in the sense that M cars are highly modified versions of production BMWs. The M5 followed not far behind and added a sedan sleeper factor to the mix. Both were powered by versions of the M88 engine used in the limited-production M1. Naturally, we are huge fans of vehicles!
That being said, today’s single seller of an M5 and an M6 is likely way out of line on pricing. Sure, these are likely among the very lowest mileage examples out there, but does that mean $20-30K cars go to $130K+?
