Tasty…
This interior is pure genius. Did anyone have to review anything at AMC before production?
You’re damn right the theme continues to the door panels.

This is a very nice and original 1976 AMC Pacer Woody Wagon with 74k Original miles.
The car has been in California since new and is 100% rust free.
The engine starts right up and runs extremely well (recent carburetor rebuild). The car does not leak, smoke, overheat or make any unusual noises. The transmission shifts right on time through all the gears. Nice solid drive-train. Good brakes, steering and suspension.
The car is un-restored and I am sure if you wanted a perfect car you could do everything but she is a nice driver as-is and most importantly the body is perfectly rust free. Nice original paint finish with a lot of luster. There are of course minimal imperfections, but lot’s of patina and very attractive! All paneling, roof trim, chrome and moldings are present. The faux wood does show it’s age and is relatively simple to redo if you know what your doing. The materials are readily available on eBay or other internet websites. Please inquire within if you would like us to point you in the right direction.
The interior is very nice for it’s age. The dash is near perfect without any cracks. The seats have normal wear (see pics). The carpeting is worn in a few spots but very clean and completely usable and presentable currently. The drivers door panel has a few cracked pieces that were glued back into place. If you want a perfect door panel it will need attention. The drivers inside door handle broke, the previous owner made a release so it would be functional, however it will need attention if you want it perfect and you will need to find the original part…… The headliner and passenger door panel are nice and in great shape.
All original center caps, wheels and beauty rings are in excellent condition. This is a the first production car with a cab foward design, enthusiasts say one day these cars will become very collectible.
Some more info if you are interested:
“The first modern mass produced, U.S. automobile design using the cab forward concept was the Pacer, introduced in 1975 by American Motors (AMC).[2][3][4] The company did not call it “cab forward”, but the Pacer’s layout included wheels pushed to the corners (short overhangs), a relatively wide body, and A-pillars moved forward; the windshield was placed over part of the engine compartment.[5]
The cab forward design allowed the passenger area to be much larger than in other similar sized automobiles.[6] The AMC Pacer contained many features, including the “cab forward” design, considered to be ahead of their time and did not enter mainstream automobiles until the 1990s.”
The car is also available for sale locally and is subject to removal from the auction at any time should it be sold. Shipping can be arranged worldwide and expedited quickly and inexpensively to your door. If you have any question contact Evan at 310-xxx-xxxx, or email. Thanks for looking!
