This is an interesting car and the seller claims it is largely complete, but the desert has taken its toll. What brave soul will bring this back to life? Cosmo purists will note that this was a horribly typical example of 1970s over-Americanization of a one-great vehicle.

Once sleek, this second generation saw the Cosmo morph into a boulevard cruiser in true 70s fashion.
Cool gauge cluster and proper transmission, but…yikes!

1976 Blue Cosmo (RX-5) is 99.9% complete (missing only one headlight molding). Very light surface rust. No accidents or body damage more serious than dings. Owner has title and it is registered as “Non Op” with the CA DMV since 1992. It was briefly started and ran in 2001.
Complete 13B engine in car (20K miles on rebuilt engine). It was set up for race with headers, race flywheel and heavy duty clutch – more. It probably will start; however, it may need an inexpensive engine rebuild kit as it has been in storage for years
It needs paint, interior work, some mechanical work, and TLC to be a great classic race or show car.
Serious inquiries only. $1000 O.B.O. Extra parts including the original shop manual are available.
