Quickie: This Festiva is too weird to ever really go away

We featured this Festiva a while back as part of our Two homemade shitboxes story.  It appears that it sold and buyer’s remorse set in quickly.  This seller actually provides more information and pictures than the last one, even though the last seller was apparently the builder.

Odd note:  This seller bought this strange beast for his wife!

I recently got this car but my wife was not amused and reluctantly i am putting it back up for sale. It was built by a guy in NY and all the fabrication is pretty nice, its not a stick welded disaster by any means, everything was very well thought out and it is all functional. ok, so take a few minutes to look at the pics and see what is going on here, it defies common logic on so many different levels, and that is what makes it so awesome! this car draws a crowd wherever it goes, people are baffled and all seem to love its shear unnecessary existence. it has chevy 350 engine that is mounted in the rear of the car, mild cam, Weiand intake,Holley carb, the engine starts right up and runs great, stock TH350 transmission, B&M shifter, modified front CV axles, BMW 3 series center section differential,(yes it is front wheel drive) aluminum fuel cell mounted under the hood along with the battery. has dual Wilwood brake master cylinders (manual brakes and manual steering) nice large aluminum radiator with automatic electric fan to keep it cool. there are large diameter cooling hoses the run through the passenger footwell, they could easily be re routed under the car if desired. the interior has nice racing type buckets with 4 point seat belts, all lights work, wipers, reverse lights etc; all are wired separately and on switches on the dash. it has a Summit brand gauge cluster, all gauges are contained within one large gauge, also has a shift light. (no speedometer). the exhaust has a cutout which you can control from the drivers seat so its either open headers or through the normal exhaust. it also has a very elaborate exhaust stack system! the stacks are retractable and can be raised via a toggle switch to protrude through the roof thanks to flapper doors that are normally in a down position when driving around. The only thing i would do is change the mufflers, it is far to quiet with the cutout closed, some flowmasters or the like would be a great improvement! The car drives surprisingly well all things considered. it is fine around town and can be driven like a normal car although i have not taken it on the highway yet. it could use a little carb tuning as there is a slight hesitation when you floor it. yes it is fast! yes it is scary! short wheelbase + front wheel drive+ big V8 engine = an impressive amount of torque steer!! its really scary in the rain lol. I have never raced it and dont plan to either, it also has dual e brake handles that allow you to lock each rear tire individually. this makes for crazy spinning smokey burnouts! if you google V8 festiva there are a bunch of videos from the previous owner burning the tires off it in dramatic fashion. the tires on the car now have plenty of tread on them. I think i have covered all the important things, please ask questions and i will do my best to answer them, full payment is due within 3 days of auction end, NO P-A-Y-P-A-L for this auction must be picked up within 2 weeks.****note the hood is not closed all the way in the pics, it does latch and line up fine***
