Quickie: M-m-m-my Verona

We featured a picture of a Suzuki Verona the other day.  Edmunds has a good write-up on this short-lived experiment, but suffice it to say it was the result of one of GM’s many theories on what to do with Suzuki.  This particular theory involved importing cars from GM-owned, Korea-based Daewoo to sell as Suzukis.

What’s interesting about the Verona?  Well, very little, but it did have a standard 2.5-liter inline six mounted transversely and driving the front wheels with a measly 155 horsepower and not much more torque.  If you’re looking for a sub-par, non-competitive mid-sized car with questionable dealer support and like the idea of people scratching their heads when you pop the hood, this might be the ride for you!

Want to add to the excitement?  Why buy locally when you can go to Tijuana and make a road trip of it?  What could possibly go wrong? Oh…we might mention that it has a salvage title.
