Rare Datsun 710

It’s sometimes hard to keep track of 70s Datsun models beyond the Z.  The 710 would eventually morph into our Stanza for the US market, but only years later. The 610, which replaced the famous 510, was positioned a bit higher than this and was slightly bigger.  Did that help clear things up?  I didn’t think so.

The seller here provides only a tiny bit of info.  The engine has been rebuilt and this sports a 5-speed conversion, but what engine is it?

As is typical for cars like this, it wears different wheels in different pictures and the seller claims three sets come with it.  At the $10K asking price, I can only conclude that the seller doesn’t really want to sell this car.

$10,000 (gulp)

It seems the car has been washed at least once.

And it’s been to the Japanese Classic Car show in Long Beach.

The dash appears to be in good enough shape.

The seat is from some newer car and doesn’t match the white interior.  Don’t bring a passenger with you if he or she likes riding shotgun!
