Rare for a Reason: 1978 Cutlass Salon Fastback

Here’s one we don’t see everyday, the Cutlass “Fastback” body style.

For 1978, the Old Custlass was downsized, along with the other GM “A-Body” cars.  In a vain attempt to appear more European, Olds offered a version that looked like a hatchback, but offered none of the cargo versatility.  Needless to say, it didn’t last long.

Today’s subject car is a complete beater, but the seller claims it runs.  $1,200 seems rather optimistic to me.
