The Rootes Groups had big dreams for its Sunbeam brand and those dreams seemed justified with the success of the Alpine sports car. One project that was green-lighted involved the odd choice to have coach builder Carrozzeria Touring design and build an expensive-to-produce, four-seat coupe powered by a 1.6L four cylinder. The result was the Venezia.
If it looks like something from Alfa, that’s because Touring had a hand in several Alfas around the time, along with vehicles for other OEMs. As the price ended up too high and the power too low, only about 200 of these beauties were ever built.
This car was someone’s project and the seller claims quite a bit of recent work. If even considering this car, one should contact a marque expert and bring them along. It sounds like all critical, hard to find parts are included, but who, aside from an expert, really knows?

I really like the looks of this little beast.
Apparently, the missing bumper is included in the sale…
Dash styling and layout is classically cool. Where does one get a replacement Venezia dash pad and maybe a center console?!
Seats look good, but why the close-up?
Engine compartment is clean, but I have no idea how original it might be. The battery is not exactly ‘restoration grade.’
