The Altima SE-R was one of the best cars Nissan never really launched. It came with an upgraded engine (vs. the regular V6 Altima), drove well, handled well, soundned great, had some cool interior bits and had beautiful forged wheels. Why have you hardly heard of it? It’s because almost nothing was spent to launch this car. At the time, it was too bad; but it makes these rare finds today.
Our subject car has the desirable manual transmission – one of few choices to be made when these were new. Other good news includes low mileage. So-so news includes some minor modifications – we hope the ride and sound are okay with the spring and resonator changes.
The bad news is a salvage title and some claimed cosmetic damage. We’d recommend a thorough inspection (in person and on Carfax). If it passes, buy it cheap and drive it like you stole it!

These wheels are pretty awesome, though a good friend of Oddimotive recently informed us that they’re heavy.
Two-tone seats were unique to SE-R, as were triple high-mount, Z-style gauges, which are not visible here.

The bad from previous owner:
This car is a salvage title from previous owner, about $1500 in repairs. Some cosmetic damage to front bumper cover and small dent in hood, both pictured. Missing the driver side air bag. Also, some patches on the top of car and on the hood where the clear coat is wearing away and the paint is a bit faded.
Since purchase, I have replaced the battery (within the last 100 miles) and installed a set of 4 new wheels (within the last 500 miles). Also, had an auxillairy input (also can play video via rca jacks) installed and subs wired. Has had a recent coolant exchange, transmission fluid service and oil change. Interior is in pristine condition, exterior is in excellent condition with exception to a few items. If you have any questions or want more pictures of something, email me. Got a new car, so am looking to sell this one, but in no real hurry. No trades, but will take reasonable offers. No low balling please. You wont find a car like this at a cheaper price.
