No, it’s not an Eagle Talon, it’s the “other other” DSM. Yes, the Plymouth Laser, here in turbo AWD form.
I like this car – it offers all the goodness of a first-gen Eclispe GSX with the bonus of badges from the orphaned Plymouth brand. This is a great example of a later 80s/early 90s performance car, complete with decals for seemingly every mechanical feature and “Laser” graphic – all on top of 90s dark green paint. What’s really amazing about this car is it’s an AWD turbo DSM that’s essentially stock. It only has aftermarket wheels and a K&N filter. Usually, these are heavily modified and beat to shit.
What’s not the love? Well, the car is non-running. The owner parked it in 2011 due to a brake issue and then never started it. Supposedly, the dipstick smelled like gas – could be major or minor. The bidding starts low, so this could be a deal if you’re willing and able to diagnose it and fix it. Given the usage in Illinois and the hints in some of the pictures in the ad, I’d check for rust!

$450 with ZERO bids
I haven’t seen a clean, stock one in so long that I almost forgot what a good looking car this is.
Profile is all good – at least on this side.
Oops, the owner hit the side of a garage on this side. It’s fixable.
Rear of the car is surprisingly free of decals and labels. Only “RS” hints at the equipment.
Turbo Intercooler was a mandatory Mitsu decal back in the day. Starion fans know this. Also, I love the pastel “Laser” script! A quick Google images search indicates this might not have been added by the dealer.
All Wheel Drive gets a decal, too.
Even our interior shot includes an exterior decal – just in case you forgot this had two cams and sixteen valves.
Dirty, but not all bad under the hood.

I have a title.
Car does not run, but did run when parked in 2008.
See pictures to get an idea of the interior, exterior, engine compartment, and underside. I have over 60 pictures on my Photobucket account here

I bought this car in 2000 from the original owner in the Chicago suburbs. I had it in Utah from 2000-2004, and Texas from 2004-2005 before returning to Illinois in 2005. I drove it in Illinois from 2005 to 2008, when the brakes started giving me issues. Brake fluid was leaking, I think from the master cylinder or the booster. I wasn’t sure, but parked it because of the leaky brakes. The car sat under a carport from 2008 to 2011 or so, and then spent 2011 to the present in a barn with a leaky roof. I’ve decided I’m never going to do anything with this car, so it’s time to let it go.
I pulled it out of the barn, gave it a wash, and you can see the results in the pictures.
I pulled the dipstick, and it kind of smelled like gas, so I didn’t even try to charge the battery or start it.
Has aftermarket wheels. Tires hold air, but are dry-rotted. Had to remove the wheels to unstick the calipers after they had rusted to the discs, and I think we may have stripped a couple of the lug nuts in the process.
Interior has some mold from sitting in the barn. See pictures.
Left side has a small dent and gouge in the door from scraping against a concrete pole when backing out of a garage. Was in a light front end collision about 2007. Got a new hood installed.
Relatively unmolested, the only mods I made to the car were installing a K&N filter, aftermarket wheels, aftermarket shift knob, and a remote CD changer.
This was a pretty high-optioned car. I think it had every option offered when it came out, except for leather seats. Includes the cloth sunroof cover, sunroof bag, and sunroof spoiler-thing.
Includes original owners manual and window sticker.
I’ve tried to be as detailed as possible in this description. If you have any questions, I’d be happy to answer them.
Starting bid set at $450, no reserve, so bid to win. Cash only. Bring a trailer. Car is located near Genoa IL.

There is no such thing as an AWD Plymouth Laser. The Laser RS came in two versions, both are great cars featuring 2 liter motors, 4 wheel disc brakes, and they are the lightest of the DSM triplets and the rarest. Your RS however is a turbo FWD car (unless someone swapped the drivetrain – which has been seen in the DSM world.) What year is this car? A '92? I have been looking for a Laser spoiler, is that one factory? Do you still have this car? If you want to sell me the spoiler and the mounting hardware, I'd be interested.
There very much was an AWD Laser. Not a lot of them, but they were sold.
