Too Few Miles and/or Fire Restoration?

The seller claims this Maserati Biturbo has only 28K original miles since 1984.  That could mean that it took 29 years to fix the fire damage, or it could be that it was just otherwise unreliable.

Regardless of the history, recent work is claimed, including rebuilt turbos.  Peeling clear coat indicates it spent some time outside – unfortunate, given the claimed low mileage.  Good news is the interior doesn’t look completely faded, although the pictures are mediocre at best.

If it really does run well and key items have been addressed, this should be a fun driver and cool oddity for your local Cars and Coffee event.  Note that the seller is interested in trades:

These have seriously cool, angular, 80s styling.  Of course, much of the market caught up with this styling, so this car blended in later in its lifecycle.

Quad tips help differentiate this from lesser 80s transport.

Gotti wheels go with the gaudy interior! Really, though, these are cool and amazingly appropriate wheels for this car.

While these interior always appeared luxurious, the seats always seemed better suited to a 70s Cadillac than an 80s, European sports coupe.  Manual shifter is a welcome sight.

These early cars were the most frequent fire victims…
