Not too long ago, we featured an inline-six-powered Nissan 810. That was Nissan’s vision of luxury at the time and was a pretty highly regarded car. Toyota also played in same sandbox with the Cressida. Similarly, it offered inline six power and rear-wheel-drive handling.
Given the reference to living in “DTLA” and not using a car, there’s a very good chance this is a hipster-mobile and older than its seller. So, there’s no telling how a transaction would go. The good news is the swap would likely take place over good coffee or perhaps a PBR. Also, you can probably see a lot of interesting spectacles and perhaps some skinny jeans. Maybe you can even trade a fixed-gear bike for this bad boy.
Beyond that, this appears to be a pretty nice Cressida and the seller comes right out with the cons before the pros – always a good sign.

i hate to do this but i need to let go of my awesome toyota cressida. i have been living in DTLA for the past year and never needed to drive it, so i want to sell this to a person that can care for this thing. since, i cant give it the TLC that it needs and deserves.
lets start off with the cons. driver-side side mirror (not the housing) was broken off, there is an intake coolant leak (about $10 gasket and some elbow grease), some asshole broken out the rear passenger quarter panel window, and my registration is a few months late, and the top off the rear seats is starting the get damaged from the sun (normal in these cressidas but still sad to see).
now that thats over with. lets go with the pros, i had this car in the JCCS (japanese classic car show in long beach 2012) and it fit right in, interior is in really good condition, the paint is still in great shape, transmission is completely smooth and differential strong, no need for new brakes for a very long time (even have a spare set of new TOYOTA rear brake shoes, A/C blows FREEZING, heater blows HOT, original radio and working, all electric windows work properly and switches on each door are working, engine runs strong (just needs to get the intake gasket replaced), all original hub caps, tires have a good 6mm-7mm tread depth. best pro, its a very unique and beautiful car. i loved when people asked what it was and they were stunned to found out it was “just a toyota.” also, cops dont bug you at all in this classic luxury car.
this car is all original and it kills me that i even let it get damaged. i appreciate you checking out this ad. PLEASE feel free to call or text anytime. i work two jobs so i dont answer, leave a message please. the price is completely negotiable…
