There are a lot of example of strange choices involving cars and pickup, or other 4×4, frames and running gear. We once posted a Datsun roadster in this category. Usually, these vehicles are only very strangely appealing and would are posted primarily as jokes. This combination of 1967 Volvo 122 wagon and Toyota 4×4,however, works surprisingly well. Maybe it’s because it looks like a predecessor to the 80s Jeep Cherokee, or maybe it’s because it reminds us of Volvo military vehicles like the Sugga we posted a while back.
The question is whether this is worth $7,900 to just the right person. Of course, this is Craigslist, so one might be able to trade some goats and Garbage Pail Kids for it.

Manual trans is good news. Things look barren in there, but a carpet kit shouldn’t be TOO hard to source.
We’re torn here – Toyota power may be the only thing more reliable than a B18 or B20 Volvo four cylinder. We’d miss the nostalgia value of a proper Volvo engine, but the 22R may move this better (?).
