This is some sort of Fiat Jolly-esque VW Beetle, but the seller seems to have little info. Oddly, for something so unusual, the focus of the ad is the fact that is was “special ordered with a unique gas gauge with no reserve lever.”
Regardless, this thing looks pretty clean, if you’re into these sorts of things. I fondly remember the VW Thing Acapulco, but I’m not sure the factory has anything to do with this car.
Grants Pass, OR
$3,900
Front end is pure beetle.
I’m not sure those boards are secured…
Cockpit is stock beetle.
The frame and top appear to be in great shape.

1957 VW Beach Cruiser. Very unique looking car. Been in heated storage for over 2 decades. 1200cc 40hp engine. Originally 36hp. It can be driven with top on or off. Special ordered with a unique gas gauge with no reserve lever. Never seen in a VW pre 1961. Converted from 6v to 12v. Lots of fun to drive to the beach and to car shows. Street legal use until 2015
