I really like Datsun 510s, but those were ‘discovered’ some time ago. The little 1200 – the Sunny in some markets and also called the B110 – hasn’t been discovered to quite the same extent, yet, despite some mechanical deficiencies vs. the 510, it’s a cool, lightweight little car and, yes, it features rear-wheel drive. This one has the preferred fastback body style and 4-speed tranny. I had the pleasure of driving the 1200 in Nissan’s Heritage Fleet a few years ago and loved it.
Okay, I’ll level with you, there are very good reasons why the 510 is preferred as a track car – bigger stock engines AND independent rear suspension. Still, in this tiny car, even the factory 1.2L I4 feels fun, at least in a ‘so slow it’s fun’ way. Also, these are very modifiable. The ad doesn’t give away much, but the images show a pretty clean car with some basic needs. Most importantly, the seller claims it has a ‘clean tile.’
Disclaimer: The pics in this ad suck, but they’re all with with we have to work.

Front view is basic 70s Datsun.
Rear shows the cool fastback body. Yes, the trunk opening IS tiny.
This is the best side view we have – it’s too bad someone (the dealer?) cut a hole in the roof, but it can be remedied if desired.
Interior looks okay from what I can see. I’d personally tone down that steering wheel and put in something period correct in black. Angry Birds floor mat is a nice touch!!
