The Chevy Celebrity epitomizes the 80s domestic automobile and makes it very, very easy to understand why imports took over our market. These are as close to a generic car as anything ever available in any market worldwide. Perhaps as an attempt to make the car relevant, someone at Hess and Eisenhardt (known for chopping many a top at the time) decided they’d chop the top on a small number of coupes and make a similarly boring convertible!
The good news is that Hess and Eisenhardt was known for good work, so problems with the car are probably GM’s fault. This does, at least have a V6 engine, rather than an I4, so that’s something. 112HP, however, won’t do much. Buy this and you’ll be the only one at your local cars and coffee events. Will anyone notice?

I've driven a few of these and they do get amazing gas mileage. Today's cars suck gas. There is no reason why in 1984 you can get almost 30 mpg from a car this big but these idiots today want a V8 that gets 15 in a Camaro? the 2.8 was bulletproof great motors.
