It seems someone has decided it makes sense to combine a 1985 Dodge shortbed pickup with a 2003 Mercedes Benz ML320 frame, powertrain and drivetrain. Not surprisingly, they didn’t get far, and now the seller wants you to bail him (or her?) out of this madness.
The seller does describe this pretty well, so we don’t need to add much. If you’re into this, you know it. You’d better have some serious welding and all-around mechanical skills, as well as a mental condition, to consider taking this on. The end result, if ever completed, will certainly be unique, however, and one of the least torquey 1985 Dodge pickups ever. In truth, this is something of an anti-hot rod.

I have an 85 Dodge shortbed truck that is set on top of a 2003 Mercedes ML320 AWD frame with Mercedes engine, trans and transfer case. Has a full Mercedes leather interior including power seats, dash, center console with wood grain inserts and the Mercedes carpet. The cab has floor has been cut for installation of the Mercedes original floor pans and firewall, allowing all seats, console steering column, dash, master cylinder and carpet to fit in as original. Comes with original Mercedes fuel tank and pump set-up, along with fuel lines so that everything is plug and play.
Also includes the original Mercedes radiator/condensor/fan assembly with all original A/c lines.
Has 17″ Mercedes wheels as rollers, but should be built around a set of 19″ wheels.
Needs floors welded in and cab mounts made, along with fitting the bed.
Comes with all original Dodge exterior body panels including doors, fenders, inner fenders radiator support, hood, bed, tailgate, grille, headlights. Body is completely rust free and solid. Has a few minor dings and dents, but still wears original paint and sticker stripes that could be used for a nice patina look.
Comes with clean title.
